About Dr. Brone
  1. Can I get in to see the doctor on the same day that I call in for an appointment?
If you call before 1:00 PM, your chances are good that you will be able to get a same day appointment, but this is not guaranteed. Dr. Brone tries to keep open several appointments daily for same day appointments. If you are not able to be seen the same day, you will probably be given an appointment to be seen the following day.

  2. What if I am late for my appointment?
If you are 15 minutes late for your appointment, you are probably going to be asked to reschedule. If you know you are going to be late for your appointment, please call us.

  3. What is your appointment cancellation policy?
If you are unable to keep your appointment for any reason, please call the office to give us at least 24 hours advanced notice. We are happy to reschedule your appointment for you. There are always unforeseen circumstances that occur and we can work with you if call us and let us know your situation. If you do not call us to cancel 24 hours before your appointment or make other arrangements with us, you will be charged $50 for missing your appointment.

  4. What do I do if I have a question after hours and want to talk with the doctor?
You can reach Dr. Brone after hours at the same number as the office number, (720) 563-9469. Dr. Brone will not refill medication after hours except in an emergency and will not refill narcotic pain medication after hours or over the weekend. Medication refills should be done at office visits primarily. You can contact Dr. Brone via e-mail at DrBrone@allsportsmedboulder.com with questions that are not of an urgent nature.

  5. What do I do if I need a prescription refill?
The first thing to do is call your pharmacy and the pharmacy will get in touch with our office. We do not refill prescriptions after hours or on the weekend unless it’s an emergency. Mail order refills cannot be done over the phone, they need to be done in person.

  6. How does your office handle phone calls?
Our office will do everything possible to return your phone call promptly. We will do our best to return phone calls within 24-48 hours.

  7. What is your payment policy?
On your first visit, you will receive a copy of our payment policy. We are happy to answer questions about this at any time. Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. We are happy to be able to file your insurance for you for the companies we contract with. Your copay, deductible, and/or coinsurance is due on the date of your visit. If you are a self-paying patient, we offer a cash discount.

  8. What happens if I need lab or x-rays?
All Sports Medicine of Boulder does not have the capability to do lab or x-ray on-site. Your insurance will dictate where you will go for lab work and x-ray. Most plain x-rays will be done at Boulder Community Hospital. You will then be billed through the lab or radiology department where you go.

  9. Can I e-mail Dr. Brone with questions?
Yes, Dr. Brone can be reached by e-mail at DrBrone@allsportsmedboulder.com. At your initial appointment, you will have the opportunity to sign a contract regarding e-mail communication. If you choose to e-mail Dr.Brone in lieu of an in person consultation typically for a new problem, i.e. an online consultation, this may result in a charge being submitted to your insurance company or if you are a self-paying patient, you may receive a bill for an online consultation.

E-mails that Dr.Brone receives and responds to after seeing a patient in the office are considered follow up for that visit and are typically not charged.
